I’m Timmy!
I am an 9 year old Jack Russel Terrier and I came in to the sanctuary in 2019 and had previously been rehomed but over the years I started showing concerning behavioural issues and unfortunately needed to return in January of 2024.
When I returned I was quite overweight and prioritised food over everything else! But since coming to the sanctuary I have losta good chunk of that weight which has helped me to feel less uncomfortable on my hips.
I was rehomed again as a foster to a long term volunteer that I had a very strong bond with but after a few months, I got a bit too comfortable and began showing these behaviours in the home again and so I needed to come back but she still comes in to visit me on a regular basis!
You wouldn’t think little ol’ me would have it in me!
Although I can have a bit of a temper, I really love hanging out with my friends! I enjoy going on walks with all sorts of other dogs here at the sanctuary!
There have been some concerns that my carers have had with me, especially because of my recent outbursts in the home, they weren’t sure if it could be a sign of something causing pain or affecting my hormones.
My friend in these pictures is Mylo and he was recently Fostered and then his carers decided to adopt him and add him to their family with all of their other pups!
Over the years I have always been a MASSIVE fan of treats and my carers are currently hoping to work out whether these could be a factor of my behavioural issues by cutting down on how many that I am given and keeping track of them.
I have been on seizure watch for a little while but have not had any during this time, so we’re still a little unsure what could be causing my behavioural issues!
But if you ask me, I think the treats are really helping me!!!
