Fundraising Campaigns
This page is a list of all of our active fundraising appeals for our veterinary treatment, as well as a hub for people to advertise their sponsored activities raising funds in our name.
Please take a look at the various cases and causes to see if you can help us continue giving our animals the premium care they deserve.
We wanted to try something different and make it easier for our amazing supporters to see exactly what treatment has taken place, and choose to donate towards any of our animals’ vet bills.
This page will be subject to change to update our community on active fundraisers and vet appeals. So please make sure to keep an eye on this space!
Crumpet was found by a member of the public as a stray dog; concerned for his welfare, they brought him to us and luckily we were able to say that we could shelter him here and hopefully find him a new home! We have been fortunate enough to pay for his veterinary treatment, including vaccinations, neutering, and general health checks - for which he was an absolute gem (the vets fell in love!) Since then we have been raising money to help justify our help of this beautiful boy, as well as being able to pay for any other treatment that may be necessary during his stay with us. If you would like to donate anything towards Crumpet’s cause, Please just click on his gorgeous face below!
Cheddar has had a very difficult life for such a young dog, it is estimated that he has had 20 different homes, and he is only 2 years old! Understandably this has left a mark on him, he has a lot of trauma that we sadly do not have the facilities to address on top of everything else we need to do throughout the day. Luckily one of our members of staff managed to find the perfect rehabilitation centre that had space for our Cheddar. His stay at this wonderful centre costs £25 per day and he has been there since 12/06/24, and will be staying there until the end of August/start of September. During this time he has specific carers working every day with him to overcome the trauma he has held on to for so long, and helping him learn to trust again; he has his own kennel, gets a minimum of 4 walks a day and can play to his heart’s content which is exactly what he deserves after such a difficult start to his life. We have so far raised the funds for half of his stay, but by the end of his stay it will total around £3000. If you would like to donate to Cheddar’s cause, please click on his beautiful nose below!
Yoshi arrived through no fault of his own or his owners; an unfortunate situation arose and fortunately one of our members of staff was able to foster him at home while we organise his veterinary treatment and hopeful adoption. Veterinary treatment for Yoshi will include vaccination, health checks, and neutering - if he is still with us at maturity, if he is adopted before then, his adopters will pay a deposit to us and get him neutered after adoption, then when they provide proof of it, we can reimburse them for the neutering costs. Yoshi has been a lovely boy during his stay with his foster parent, playing with their own pets, learning the important socialising skills that he will carry on to his forever home! If you would like to donate towards Yoshi’s cause, please click on his super soft ears below!
Ruby came to us very recently at the start of August after being found in a terrible state as a stray, riddled with fleas and very underweight. Her new carers took her to the vets to receive a full health check, blood test and any immediate treatment that was necessary and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. She is now on thyroid medication which Ruby will need for her whole life and will hopefully help her improve in health to the stage where she can be her true, happy self. Ruby has only been in the sanctuary’s life for a short time, but we are committed to ensuring the life that she continues with us is full of joy and comfort! If you would like to donate towards Ruby’s cause, please click on her pretty head below!
One of our ponies, Alfie has been having a bit of a rough spell during these hot months, one morning, his carer noticed that he was uncomfortable taking steps forward, and on closer inspection it turned out to be a case of laminitis. He has been prone to this condition for quite a few years now, thanks to his cushings it can come on quite easily but his diet and routine has been managed to prevent this from happening aside from the occasional flare up. Our equine vets came out to see what was wrong, and took a blood test to get as good an idea as possible of what was happening. When the results came back it turned out that his insulin levels were far above normal levels meaning that he is insulin resistant. For the most part this can be controlled with strict diet routines and a lot of TLC, but the tests and medication that come along with it means that we need to raise some funds to pay towards these veterinary bills to our brilliant equine vets. If you would like to donate towards Alfie’s cause, please click his adorable chin below!
Tigger was dumped at our sanctuary and abandoned by his previous owner, meaning we do not know any of his history, whether he has any health conditions that had been previously diagnosed by a vet. Fortunately a member of the public was able to identify him and give us some backstory to his life! He is 18 years old and she had known him for most of his life as a neighbour. Since coming to us, his carers have noticed a cough/crackly chest and so he needed a chest x-ray to understand what is causing it, as well as a few lumps on his chin and his teeth/gums need some help too! All of this will absolutley be done to ensure that Tigger is treated like the king he is, but it all comes with a great cost attached; if you would like to donate towards Tigger’s cause, please click on his chin and give him some chin rubs below!
