I’m Scout
I was surrendered to the Sanctuary in 2019 because my owners were unable to provide me with the care or time I required.
I really love playing!
I prefer it here, once I settled in to my routine I realised I get waited on paw and foot! I can lounge about or play with my carers whenever I want!
My carers did try to find a home for me but I struggled to cope in the home and needed to come back after biting someone.
I’ve always been very good at finding toys and treats with my nose. I tend to find a lot on my walks.
I make very fast friends with new people, all they need is a toy and some treats and I’m theirs!
But I do need my own space a lot of them time because I can be quite overwhelmed and don’t know when to stop playing.
As I’ve gotten older I have started struggling with arthritis, for which I am on medication.
I’m not as able to catch tennis balls as easily now, but I still give it a good go!
I really don’t like being told what to do, it is a big trigger for me so my carers are very good at being careful with their tone so that I don’t take offense.

So that I can keep throwing my toys to my favourite people for another round of catch.
