My story so far…

HELLOOOO, my name is Sox!

I was surrendered to the sanctuary as my owner had a change of circumstances and could no longer keep me. I was only in that home for a short time and have been passed around homes already at such a young age.

I was entire and riddled in fleas when I came into the sanctuary so it is a good job I am here and now looking for a new home!

I am a very friendly, outgoing and loving young boy. I am also very very vocal! I call it chatty though! I just like everyone to know I am here and I want something. It is usually for food but sometimes it is just for some attention. I enjoy affection as I am a very loving boy. I often rub around my carers legs for fusses. I do occasionally give a little light nip at times. I am quite small for a male cat so I use my voice to be bigger! You cant blame me for that surely?

Please dont let my vocal nature put you off! My carer thinks I am more chatty at the sanctuary because I dont have as much freedom or choice as I would do in a home compared to the environment in the cattery. I am doing well though.

Could you be my new human/s?

Home I am looking for…

I could live with older children 13+ or an adult only home.

I cannot live with another cat as I am not too keen on them and they dont seem to take to me very well because they dont like my vocal chatty nature.

I could possibly live with a calm cat friendly dog though.

I did used to go outdoors in my previous home so I would need to be able to have safe outdoor access after a settling in period of at least 8 weeks indoors. This is to make sure I am settled in my home and bonded with my new humans before being allowed out into the big world! I will need my new home to be well away from any main/busy roads and railway lines for my own safety. Road/environmental checks apply.

Medical history…

In my previous home I was seen by a vet for being a bit poorly and had an issue with my eye. However this soon resolved and tests came back clear.

I am a happy and healthy boy.

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.

Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
