My story so far…

Hi I'm Maui

I came into the sanctuary in January after I was found as an entire stray (not chipped). My finder was concerned as he thought I was injured but it turned out to be a false alarm!

I was a very nervous scared boy at first and it took me a few weeks to settle and feel I could trust these new humans in this strange new environment. My carers find it hard to believe I am the same cat I was just a few months ago. I have really come out my shell to show my true loving self! My carer describes me as a very sweet boy and very loving. I love affection and lots of attention. I am quite a gentle placid boy too and have a sensitive nature. I do like a little play but I always choose food and fuss first!

A potential adopter will need to understand that I may revert a little bit when I get a new home and feel quite nervous and scared so they will need to patient with me whilst I settle into a new home. Yummy treats will win me over for sure!

I am a healthy young boy with no health concerns and I am now ready to find my loving forever home!

Home I am looking for…

I would prefer a calmer home I can feel relaxed in. I could live with older children 12+.

I have met some of the cats here at the sanctuary and I am a good boy as long as they give me space. I will say hello with a quick sniff and nose kiss but I mostly just ignore them. I am not too keen if they get too boisterous/ over playful though. I could happily live with a more placid gentle cat as long as they would welcome me. I would be fine as an only cat though!

I am not keen on dogs as they are a bit too scary so I would prefer not to live with one.

I would need safe outdoor access after a settling in period of at least 8 weeks indoors. This is to make sure I am settled in my home and bonded with my new humans before being allowed outdoors. I would also be fine being rehomed as an indoor cat with a catio or cat proofed garden. This must already be in place to insure I will get outdoor time.

Home and Road/environmental checks apply.

(Applicants will ONLY be contacted if you are a suitable match. Please be aware we complete our rehoming checks prior to arranging any meets)

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.

Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
