My story so far…
Hi I'm Simba
I came into the sanctuary in January after I was surrendered due to becoming very stressed with the young child in the home. Due to the stress, I started to urinate around the home. My previous owners took me to the vets to rule out any health issues. They did everything to try and help me feel comfortable in the home but sadly it was clear I was just not happy with a toddler around.
Since coming to the sanctuary, I have had no toileting issues at all and have been perfect! I settled in very well and I am very loved.
I am a sensitive slightly nervous boy but it doesn't take me long to feel comfortable with someone and want lots of affection. I'm super sweet and loving. I can be a bit of a lap cat too here at the sanctuary. I do enjoy playing but I much prefer chilling out although I was playful in my previous home.
I can sometimes love nip or nip to tell you off but it is very gentle!
I am a foodie and I am quite a big boy and slightly overweight. I have lost a little bit of weight since coming in but I could do with losing a bit more. I can be quite lazy here so I will likely lose more weight in a home once I am moving around a bit more.
I am now ready to find my loving forever home
Home I am looking for…
I do need a quieter home I can feel relaxed in. I could live with a sensible older child 12+ though.
I would much prefer to be the only cat. I would not be able to live with a dog. A pet free home will suit me best.
I would be fine to be homed to be an indoor only cat in a home with sufficient space and plenty of enrichment. Alternatively I can have safe outdoor access after a settling in period of at least 8 weeks indoors. I will need my new home to be well away from any main/busy roads and railway lines for my own safety.
Home and Road/environmental checks apply.
(Applicants will ONLY be contacted if you are a suitable match. Please be aware we complete our rehoming checks prior to arranging any meets)
If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.
Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
