My story so far…

Hello, my name is George!

I came into the sanctuary back in June after a kind lady was concerned for my safety as I was an entire stray in a vunerable position on a main road and in an area with a lot of foxes trying to fight me. I really loved the people who helped me because whilst they tried to see if I had an owner, they looked out for me. I enjoyed going into their home, chiling on their laps and having lots of cuddles and loves because that is what I want the most! (and food of course!)

I was a bit frustrated when I first arrived at the sanctuary because I was more confined and I missed being around people more. I took my frustration out on one of my carers but this isnt really my true personality. I have my own room at the sanctuary which has helped a lot because I have more space and a big window to look out of. If you hadn’t already guessed I love people and attention. I am a super affectionate boy and a proper lap cat. My carer says it looks like I am smiling in photos when I am having lap cuddles. This is true! When I get frustrated I will tell you off a bit with a nip but I am not nasty. My high energy stems from my frustration usually because I just feel too confined and want more attention. The people that cared for me before I came to the sanctuary said I showed no signs of aggression and was golden.

A few other things to know about me. I can be a chatty boy but in the cutest way. I like to chirp away when I am content and happy. I can also be vocal when I want attention or food too! My carer has taught me how to sit nicely when Im getting a treat because I got super excited before and would grab but I have learnt this so quickly and I am now learning how to be more patient too!

I cannot wait to find my forever home now because I want a humans lap or two to call my own!

Home I am looking for…

I could live with older sensible children 13+ years old but would be better not living with younger children.

I am looking for a home as an only cat as I am not overly keen on other cats. I would also prefer not to live with any dogs! I prefer the humans to myself too!

I do need to be able to have safe outdoor access after a settling in period of at least 6-8 weeks indoors. This is to make sure I am settled in my home and bonded with my new humans before being allowed out into the big world! My main carer does think I am going to be quite testing whilst being kept indoors but it is so important you ignore me if I ask to go out sooner than I should because I could go missing or get lost easily!

I will need my new home to be well away from any main/busy roads and railway lines for my own safety.

Road/environmental checks apply.

If you think you could offer me the home I need, please fill out an Adoption Enquiry Form. Please make sure you have read about all of my needs and our adoption policies before applying.

Forms lacking in detail or with questions unanswered may not be considered, we need to ensure we are matching our cats to the right home for them.
