Life was rough before I made it to the sanctuary. I lived on the streets of Romania and did well to survive the harsh environment I was born into.
But living that difficult life means that I’ve never been your average street dog, and I would NEVER have coped with home life after everything I had been through.
I had quite a negative opinion of people.
Being an older dog (8-12 years old) as well as my less than polite manners with all these strangers having to work with me, my outlook was not great until I was fortunately offered haven at the Sanctuary.
My carers know me so well that they notice very quickly when I’m not feeling very well, as I had to be very good at hiding my weaknesses.
Which means I can enjoy my meals a lot more now without those pesky sore spots in my mouth!
Fortunately, I was prescribed pain relief which has helped so much! Some days I like to run around my paddock and tell off people walking past my domain!
When we went to the vets, they found that I have Arthritis and Spondylosis, which had been causing me a whole world of pain.
After years of neglect on the streets, and multiple dental treatments, the decision was made to remove my remaining teeth that had been causing me so much pain.
Coming to the Sanctuary saved my life. After a long time, and a lot of yummy treats, I have finally started to heal from my difficult past and trust my loving carers.

So that I never have to think about how I had to survive and spend the rest of my life spoilt with lovely food and hotdogs!
So that I can have cuddles, fuss and walks with my best friends, Eddie and Bob whenever I want.
So that I can lounge out in my comfy spot in the sun, trying to catch bugs and wait for my food doing my dinner dance!
