Yoo-hoo!

Cindly Lou who here!

I came to the sanctuary in December of 2023 as a stray cat, on the afternoon of the charity’s christmas market and it was freezing cold! I had been living in this man’s garden crying a lot and so he was worried and took me here. Fortunately they were able to take me in and offer me all the care that I needed.

When my carers took me in, I weighed a tiny 2kg and I was only skin and bones. I had been struggling for a while and all I wanted was food, warmth and affection.

My history and age was unknown, being a stray, but my carers estimated that I was around 10 years old when I came in. I needed serious dental treatment but because of my health at the time, I was unable to go under with anasthestic so I was on a serious regimen to get me healthy!

Put on some weight? Easier said than done!

For my first few weeks here my diet was very bland and consisted of small more frequent meals to make sure I stayed comfortable and my tummy was able to digest everything.

Thanks to these meals I was gradually putting on weight, however I was continuing to have loose stools and after some tests it turned out that I had Feline coronavirus and a parasitic infection called Coccidia for which I received treatment and good old fashioned TLC!

I was always very ready for my next meal to come!

Health Update- I was still having ongoing diarhoea so had further tests and treatments but nothng worked. I underwent a full gut biopsy procedure in October last year and was diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). I am now on a special hypoallerenic diet and require steroids daily to help manage my condition. I am doing a lot better and I am now I really good healthy weight!

Besides my health conditions, I absolutely LOVE getting fuss and playing with toys, chasing them around the room as well as meeting cats that also have feline coronavirus that want to be my friends, and big dogs too! I just love loving things, is that so bad?!

Please Sponsor Me

To help pay towards my veterinary treatment and my specific cat food that can be quite expensive!

So that I can continue playing with my carers with all my toys and rolling around with my smelly ferret toy!

To help keep me comfortable in a warm, loving environment until I find a foster home, or my forever home.

And So I never have to look back at my life on the outside, calling for help every day.
